Bruisyard Country Estate Summer Wedding | Sarah & Joel

A little under two years later than originally planned, I recently had the honour of joining Sarah & Joel for their Bruisyard Country Estate summer wedding.

Bride and Groom walk across the bridge at Bruisyard Country Estate to the warm greetings of their guests. The groom has his arm raised in both greeting and celebration while the bride smiles and laughs. The brides dress is by Stella York

It’s a story we’ve become familiar with over the last couple of years but this was Sarah & Joel’s third attempt at marrying at Bruisyard Hall in Suffolk. How does the saying go, third time’s a charm?

It was a wonderful day, full of smiles and tinged with the odd poignant moment. Above all, the sense of togetherness shone through (as did Sarah’s broad grin throughout). Like many of the couples I’ve photographed recently, Sarah & Joel hadn’t let the delay in tying the knot get in the way starting a family and their gorgeous baby son Dash was a central part of the day.

It was also a chance to catch up with some favourite fellow wedding suppliers, plus meet a couple of new ones. Both the magician Nick Einhorn and musician The Sax Walker I’d worked alongside at weddings in the previous couple of weeks - each is quite frankly brilliant in their own fields and added immeasurably to the day. Emma B took care of makeup and Sarah’s beautiful dress was by Stella York. Special mention for the flowers by fellow Bruisyard recommended supplier, Blooming Brilliance.

Here’s a selection of photos from the day and, as always, if you’re planning your own summer wedding at Bruisyard Country Estate, please do get in touch. I’m based just a short drive away in Aldeburgh and have shot more than 30 weddings here since my first back in 2014, so you know you’ll be booking a photographer who knows the venue inside out!
