Chilston Park Wedding Photography | Sarah & John

Thank you for visiting this post featuring Sarah & John’s Chilston Park wedding photography. Like many of my couples, Sarah booked me through a recommendation from one of her friends whose wedding I’d photographed near Sevenoaks in Kent, some eight years before!

During the build up to the wedding, Sarah had given me a call and let me in on a very special surprise she’d arranged for John. One of their very first dates was to the legendary Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in Soho. The band that night was Ray Gelato & The Giants who they’ve followed ever since and see play regularly. Now Sarah’s one of those ‘never ventured, never gained’ type of girls and reached out to Ray, asking of he’d consider playing at their wedding party. Quite brilliantly, he agreed and so ensued an almost military grade secret operation to stage the day allowing the band to arrive and set up unseen. When it came time for the first dance, John confidently led Sarah toward the dance floor, spotted the band, then realised who it was… :-). Needless to say, he was completely bowled over and utterly lost for words with excitement!

Before moving to Suffolk way back in 2012, I was based in Kent and a regular visitor to Chilston Park. It’s a wonderful country house venue with lots of on site accommodation for wedding party and guests. It’s also close to the A20, so is easy to travel to from across the county.
