Easton Grange October Wedding | Jenni & Jonathan

Back in 2021, I was asked to photograph Jenni & Jonathan’s Easton Grange October wedding. From the outset, they’d planned a small wedding with just their closest family and friends, finishing the day with sparkler lit ‘going away’ send off. I found this a really touching way to bring their wedding party to a close and brought to mind the traditions of previous generations, when a couple would have their marriage, afternoon reception and immediately followed by late afternoon send off as they headed away on honeymoon.

October is a great time of year to photograph a wedding. The autumnal light casts long shadows and shortening days give scope for dusk photographs. It’s also considerably cooler than mid-summer, so guests and couple alike can enjoy the day in comfort.

Over the last few years, travel restrictions, lockdowns and health advice have meant smaller weddings have very much been in vogue. However, fewer numbers doesn’t mean having to compromise on details and the day was hosted at the always lovely Easton Grange, tucked away in the Suffolk countryside. It was also a welcome chance to catch up with a few favourite fellow suppliers, including local make-up artist supreme, Victoria Bradfield.

If you’re planning your own day at Easton Grange, please do get in touch. I’ve been a recommended photographer here since 2014, photographing weddings of all sizes, across all four seasons. For now, here’s a selection of photos from Jenni & Jonathan’s day.
